Enactus Canada

Enactus Canada ignites the potential of Canada’s future leaders to drive positive social, environmental, and economic impact, by empowering their entrepreneurial mindset.  They do this through partnerships with universities and colleges across Canada to develop leadership and entrepreneurship skills among young people who see business as a way to address social issues. Students form teams on campuses, mentored by a faculty advisor, and develop entrepreneurial community outreach projects to improve the lives and wellbeing of people and planet. Enactus teams then compete regionally, nationally, and internationally.  Each year, over 2,000 students take part in Enactus teams across more than 70 post-secondary campuses in Canada. Enactus Canada is part of a global network of Enactus chapters across 35 countries.

Since 2018, we have supported various leadership-based programs to provide additional supports to Enactus team members and equip them with skills to drive positive change. This includes:

  • The Annual Leadership Summit: Over the course of three days, the Leadership Summit brings together leaders of each campus team and provides them with intensive training to learn from each other and build skills that can help them lead their teams in the year ahead. Students and staff alike report consistently that the annual Summit is critical to supporting healthy and impactful campus teams.
  • Enactus Collaboration Summits: Through the academic year, we also support Enactus Collaboration Summits, regional gatherings across Canada that bring together emerging leaders on Enactus teams to share their best practices for managing teams, sustaining a campus club, and identifying opportunities for impactful community projects. Students develop the skills to further advance their local campus team’s goals, move into positions of responsibility, and be stronger leaders of their peers.
  • A New Leadership Development Program: We are supporting the launch of a new year-round leadership development program, which will provide core skills-training to run chapters and businesses effectively, including managing conflict, strategy building, work planning, and effective leadership.
